PTA functions as an interface between the two pillars of a students life-Parents and Teachers. It has the important role of finding common an effective learning environment. It also

History:-

The Parent Teacher Association started to function in M.D.Shah Mahila College from the academic year since then it has increased its strength by having regular meeting of General Body & Executive Committee and by starting a number of initiatives.

Function:-

Parent of all the students A M.D.Shah Mahila College of Arts & Commerce are members of the General Body of the Parent Teacher Association. The fess of Rs.40 is collected at the time of admission. The General Body selects an Executive council to which Teachers members are nominated by the Principal who is President of the PTA. It is this body which decides on various activities & PTA.

Freeships:-

A number of our students are challenged by compelling financial conditions at home, coming as they are from the finically weaker sections. The PTA which every year garners a corpus through fees is generous in awarding freeships. The members also take an interest in the selection of candidates for freeship.

Book Bank:-

Book Bank of the of the college is a highly subsidized activity. The PTA contributes to it every year as availability of looks to students is a concern of both parents & teachers.

Felicitation:-

To encourage student every year the toppers of all the classes are felicitated in the General Body Meeting with the ‘PTA Madal’.

Other (Plans):-

There are planes of many new initiatives. There is also a realization that to take up new activities PTA needs to be financially more strong and for that we need garner founds.
