RULES & REGULATIONS FOR STUDENTS

 

As a student you are expected to:

a   reach the class a time and attend your classes regularly as per the time-table.
b   expect the faculty members to give assignments for the evaluation of your progress.

Attendance

Attendance at lectures and tutorials ismandatory. Attendance of students at all courses is regulated by ordinances issued by the SNDT Women’s University: “For granting terms, attendance of 75% of theory, practical and tutorials (wherever prescribed) separately will be required, out of the total number of lectures, practical and tutorials conducted in the term.”The college will grant terms only on the basis of:(a) Satisfactory attendance(b) Satisfactory performance in classroom tests  and at the Terminal and Preliminary  examinations.(c) Satisfactory completion of the course of study for the term/year for the class to which such a student belongs. (d) Good conduct. Students who do not satisfy these conditions will not be granted terms. This means that such students will not be eligible to take all Examinations. The Principal is empowered to excuse absence of students who are required to leave the town where the College is situated for the purpose of taking part in sports held under the auspices of the University or government body for the period during which they are unavoidably absent from the College. The College will remain closed on Sundays and all Public Holidays as declared by the Government of Maharashtra and on such other days as the Principal may declare from time to time.

Dress Code

The College believe in inculcating a sense of discipline, dignity, and academic decorum among students. In keeping with these values, all students are required to adhere to the prescribed dress code within the campus. a) Students are expected to be neatly and appropriately dressed at all time s while on campus. b) On occasions such as guest lecture, seminar, presentation, and official academic events such as NSS & NCC students must be formally dressed. c) Full face covering & masking that conceals the identity of the student is strictly not allowed within the campus premises. Students must ensure that their face is clearly visible for identification and security purposes. d) The College reserves the right to or take appropriate action against any student not complying with the Dress Code. Any student failing to adhere to the above guideline will be subject to disciplinary action as per College Rules.

Permissions & Activities

  • Students must not collect funds from classmates or outsiders without written permission from the Principal.
  • Students must not organize picnics without prior permission from the Principal.
  • Photography on campus is prohibited unless prior permission from the Principal is obtained.

Anti-Ragging Policy

  • Students must strictly refrain from any form of ragging.
  • Ragging is a cognizable offence as per Government of Maharashtra Resolution No. TEM/10967620/96 Dt. 6-9-1996 and will result in strict action.

Property & Cleanliness

  • Students must take care of college property and help keep the campus neat and clean.
  • Any damage caused to college property must be compensated by the student(s) responsible.
  • Lost property found should be deposited at the college office. Owners may claim it from the office counter the following day.

Prohibited Activities

  • Smoking, chewing gutka, and tobacco use are strictly prohibited on campus, including the canteen. Violators will face severe action.
  • Use of mobile phones on campus or in classrooms is prohibited. Strict action will be taken against violators. The college is not responsible for loss of mobile phones.
  • Use of four-wheelers by students on campus is prohibited.

Parking Rules

  • Parents and students must use designated student parking spaces only.
  • Parking of vehicles within college premises is at the owner's risk. The Management and college authorities are not responsible for any loss or damage.

Examination Conduct

  • Students indulging in unfair means during examinations will face strict action as per university rules and Regulations.

Canteen & Resource Usage

  • Students must vacate canteen seats immediately after finishing their orders.
  • Students are expected to use water responsibly and minimize wastage.
  • All electricity points must be switched off when not in use to ensure minimum energy consumption.
