FYJC Admissions

Admission to the XI std under the Gujarati Linguistic Minority Category will be done by the Management of the College at the level of the Principal as per the schedule declared by the Deputy Director of Education Office.

An Online process for the admissions under the Gujarati Linguistic Minority is conducted by the Management and the form can be filled and submitted as per schedule displayed on our website mdsmc.ac.in

For Students Seeking Admission under the Open, Sports, Cultural Categories and Other Reservations an Online Admission Process is conducted by the Deputy Director of Education Office and the students are admitted as per the list sent by the Deputy Director of Education Office.

SYJC Admissions

Admission to the XII std under the Transfer Category due to reasons prescribed by the Deputy Director of Education Office. Admissions will be done by the College at the level of the Principal, and they have to Fill the Online Admission form and submit all the required documents to Vice-Principal.

Documents Required

Certificate and documents to be submitted in original and 2 attested true copies at the time of Admission along with the fees by all students

  • Duly filled online admission form (will be provided at the time of admission).
  • Mark Sheet of the qualifying examination.
  • Original School Leaving Certificate.
  • Proof of local address for correspondence.
  • 1 recent stamp size photograph
  • Attested true copy of the relevant documents supporting the particular reservation (SPORTS,CULTURAL, Etc.) is also required.

    In addition to the above requirements the students claiming admission under the Gujarati Linguistic Minority quota will have to submit

  • Gujarati undertaking (Provided along with the admission form).
  • An attested copy of one of the following documents can be provided as a proof in case of any doubt, about the candidate belonging to the Gujarati Community.
  • Mark Sheet/School Leaving Certificate indicating fathers’ or mothers’ study in Gujarati Medium.

    OR

  • A stamped letter on the letter head of the community Head or Secretary signed by the President.

    OR

  • Vasti Patrak of the community where name of the applicant appears along with his/her parents name.

NOTE:

Students applying under GUJARATI LINGUISTIC MINORITY must satisfy the following norms:

  • SHOULD BE GUJARATI BY BIRTH AND SHOULD HAVE PASSED THE S.S.C. / EQUIVALENT EXAMINATION FROM MAHARASHTRA.
  • Certificate from the Head of the Community / Trust / institution (Government recognised) confirming the claim OR Either of the parent can produce their 10th std. mark sheet indicating Gujarati as one of the subject at the 10th std. OR Vasti Patrak.
  • In Case if the student is not GUJARATI by birth but the mother of the applicant is Gujarati, the marriage certificate of the parent indicating mother's maiden name must be produced for verification.

Students Claiming For Free Education

  • Duly filled in declaration form given in the prospectus.
  • Attested true copy of the first and the last page of the ration card which includes the name of the parent/guardian and the student. (Student should not be the fourth child)
  • Attested true copy of Birth Certificate (Student should be born in Maharashtra)

    OR

  • Parents service certificate indicating last 15 years stay in Maharashtra.

    OR

  • Telephone Bills/Electricity bills/Rent receipt etc. which establishes authentically that the parent is a resident of Maharashtra state for the last 15 years.

If the above documents are not submitted at the time of admission the girl student will have to pay full fees in both XI and XII, which will not be refunded.

Documents Required For the Provisional Eligibility Certificate for Students Coming From Boards Other Than The Maharashtra State Board

  • Application in the prescribed form which is obtained from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Education, Mumbai, Divisional Board, Navi Mumbai, Vashi 400 703.
  • Statement of Marks and 3 attested true copies of the same.
  • Leaving Certificate (counter signed by the educational inspector) and 3 attested true copies of the same.
  • Migration certificate.
  • Deed of Undertaking on Rs. 20/- stamp paper. Specimen copy of the matter which is to be typed on stamp paper given in the prospectus.

General Instructions

  • Submission and acceptance of the form does not mean any assurance of admission.
  • Only one person will be allowed to enter the college premises for submission of form.
  • No admission form will be entertained either for submission or for admission unless all the particulars asked for in the admission form are properly filled in and the required number of documents and/or certificates are attached.
  • Full name (in capital letters) Birth date, Birth place, Nationality and Caste should be written exactly as mentioned in the school leaving certificate.
  • Those students who do not secure admission by paying fees on the day, date and time specified will lose their claim for admission. No claim in this respect will be entertained later for any reason whatsoever.
  • All admissions are provisional. They will be confirmed only after the verification of documents submitted.
  • The Principal reserves the right to make necessary changes in the details of admission-procedure depending on the circumstances prevailing during the days of admission.

Special Reservation

While applying online, the applicants must submit the required documents for verification at the school/guidance centre. Otherwise the applicant may not avail the benefits of parallel reservation

Divyang / Disabled

Students of other boards (Other than Maharashtra State Board) who want to take admission in a Junior College affiliated to Maharashtra State Board within any online admission area should fill online form and participate in this admission process.

Project / Earthquake Affected

Certificate issued by Collector/District Rehabilitation officer stating that project affected or earthquake affected or dependent need to be attached/to avail reservation under this category

Wards of the Employees of State Government/Central Government/Private Sector

Coming on transfer in the online admission area - Original Certificate showing transfer of the employee from outside to the online admission area on or after 1st October of the last year need to be submitted while taking admission . Further, the ward must have passed Std. X or equivalent examination from a school outside of the online admission area.

Wife or Wards of Servicemen and Ex-Servicemen

1. For Serviceman: Service Certificate.

2. For Ex-Serviceman: Discharge Certificate or Certificate issued by District Sainik Board.

Wards of Freedom Fighters

Applicants who are dependent on the freedom fighters and are so nominated by the freedom fighters, must submit a certificate issued by the District Collector to that effect.

International and national player students

While admitting the player students against this reservation, the preference will be given to:

  • Medal winner player students in international level competition.
  • Participant player student in international level competition.
  • Medal winner player student at the National level competition.While admitting the player students against this reservation, the preference will be given to For std. XI admission, under above reservation, the certificates of concerned competition (being winner or participation) should be authenticated by District Sports Officer or Regional director of sports
Orphan Children

Those applicants claiming the reservation of being orphan children should obtain a certificate issued by the Divisional Deputy Commissioner of woman and child development.

Eligibility : -

Students passing SSC or equivalent examination are eligible to secure admission for FYJC. Other Boards:

Means the Education Boards other than the State Board viz. - CBSE, ICSE, IGCSE, IB, NIOS or Boards of other States.

  • Students of other boards (Other than Maharashtra State Board) who want to take admission in a Junior College affiliated to Maharashtra State Board within any online admission area should fill online form and participate in this admission process.
  • After entering the examination seat number, the other board student’s information will not be filled automatically as data of such students is not available. These students have to fill in their personal information themselves carefully and get the form approved from the nearest Guidance centre.
  • All students other than Maharashtra Board should approve their online application form from the nearest Guidance Centre. (If the facility is not available in their own school.)
  • If applicants result of Std. X is in Grade form, students have to get the grades converted into marks from their secondary (10th ) School Principal or as per the guidelines of Deputy Director Office. And after that only such students will be able to fill Part-2 of the application form.
  • Eligibility Certificate - Students who have passed 10th exam from any other board need to get eligibility certificate from the state board after admission. An application for eligibility (available with respective Junior College) is required to be submitted along with necessary documents.
  • Other board’s students can participate in this admission process with their provisional marksheet. However they need to submit original copy of marksheet while confirming their admission in the Junior College.
  • For CBSE students first five subjects only will be considered.
  • For ICSE students who have passed out with 6 subjects for them from Group I and Group II any five subjects can be considered.
  • For ICSE students who have passed out with 7 subjects for them there are two options that can be considered.
    • Option – 1: Best of five subjects from Group I & Group II (out of 600) can be considered.
    • Option – 2: Total average of 700 can be considered i.e. Group I, II & III together.
