Department Of Economics

The Department of Economics at Shri M.D. Shah Mahila College of Arts and Commerce was established in 1968 and initially offered a B.A. in Economics in the Gujarati medium.  In 1978, the subject was introduced in the Commerce stream . From 1992, Economics was introduced in Marathi,English and Hindi medium and in 2004, the department reached a significant academic milestone by launching a postgraduate degree in Economics.
